A specialist service for all scale of organisations
We believe maintenance agreements should be available for all budgets, from the little guy to the large organisations.
Our eco web hosting includes server updates and automatic updates to WordPress, however, automatic updates can cause conflicts and lead to issues that lay dormant for any length of time – potentially causing a negative impact to your users.
“We knew that Vu Online would get to know our company, understand who we are and have more of a relationship with us than some of the other website providers out there.”
Hands-on (human) help
Our maintenance packages give you the time of a developer at Vu to conduct the updates manually and test the site afterwards.
You will also be onboarded into our systems which will enable you to report issues and requests via easy-to-use dedicated software.
We don’t need a high level of technical communication from you and we keep our communications simple and jargon-free.
A dedicated team of experts are just a nudge away
Set your own budget & Service Level
We will set an allocation of studio time with you, from as little as half an hour per month (£40), and we will track our activities, any leftover time will accrue on your account and can be offset against any other digital marketing activity or support/feature requests.
And you can create your own Service Level Agreement for how quickly you need us to respond to issues for an additional cost.
Tweaks, updates and security
Our annual WordPress website maintenance packages permit businesses the confidence to understand their WordPress websites and applications are being routinely maintained for security, search engine optimisation and customer data cleanliness.
The agreements permit client requests, development tasks and proactive maintenance by our development team within agreed timescales and budgets.

- Downtime monitoring
- Monthly reporting
An ongoing backlog where nothing gets lost
Our maintenance agreements are aimed at businesses with multiple stakeholders who will need to raise issues for the lifespan of a website or web application.
We provide ways to log all incidents and issues into a continuous rolling backlog where issues are prioritised against a service level agreement and dealt with according to a set monthly budget.
Everything logged and ready to action
This means that all issues are captured and remain in the backlog until they are actioned proactively by our developers according to priority.
Systems and processes for you and your team to make requests or report bugs anytime that suits you
A predictable, capped investment
This has the benefit capping your monthly spend and making your maintenance agreement a predictable annual expense that adheres to your digital maintenance budgets.
“Since launch in April, Vu have been on hand and quick to respond to all our queries as we navigate our way around. They are always friendly, enthusiastic and keen to find solutions.”
Urgent response & Reports
We will introduce your team to our ticketing system that captures your request and comes through the an available member of the team to take immediate action.
Detailed reports of tasks logged and time spent are captured in our maintenance management systems and form the basis for our monthly reporting to you.
Frequently Asked Questions about WordPress Website Maintenance Packages
Are updates to WordPress automatic?
Not with our maintenance contracts, we believe it’s safer for your business if we do them by hand every month, if there are urgent security patches required then we will dive back in and update these.
What happens if the website updates in the middle of the night and breaks?
Unlike some maintenance packages that are just someone setting automatic updates in WordPress. The timing of the updates is fixed by us (around your testing time where required) and happens predictably at the same time each month, controlled by a human.
What happens if the updates break my website?
When there’s an update to WordPress we take time under the Maintenance Agreement to test the website and ensure it still functions correctly.
If it will take longer to resolve than we have budgeted on your account we will roll back the website to a functioning state and contact you with a cost and time to schedule the work.
Will you tell me when updates have happened?
Yes, we can offer this as part of the contract. Each month you can receive a report of what’s been updated and when.
What do I do if I need to ask for changes to my WordPress website?
Just get in touch through your account manager or our support desk and let us know about the issue. If possible include a screenshot and a member of the team will get back to you with a timescale and estimated cost to resolve the issue for you.
