Your Project Brief

This Brief template is a guide we have refined that has helped many of our previous clients to firm up their ideas ready to engage with an agency.

To help you understand your aims and objectives it’s vital we start with a brief, this template is a starting point for you to firm up your ideas, and develop your thoughts on the kind of questions anyone looking to market your business will want to know.

Use it as a template or fill it out and submit it to us to discuss in a free, no-obligation planning session. Any information provided here will be treated with the strictest confidence.

01: Introduction

Please provide us with a brief (or lengthy!) introduction to your business: who you are, what you do, where you do it and how long you have been doing it for. Add a link to your website and any relevant information with regards to the project. Please feel free to include any further information that may help us get a feel for your business and how it operates.

02: Project background

Describe the project in as much detail as you can or feel you need to. How has the project been raised, what is it designed to do, where does it sit with other initiatives within the business, does it have to work with any of them? Detail the project objectives if available particularly with respect to business impact and what the project needs to do for the business or organisation.

03: Market Background

Are there any issues relating to your market/sector that may be helpful for us to know about? For example, the current prevailing conditions; what you need to achieve in the market; whether you have any market research data to support the project; whether the project is based on changes within the market itself or if you’re looking to enter new markets. You may also want to include any notable competitors here.

04: Your audience/target market

Have you defined your target market for this project and, if so, what’s their demographic?

05: Have you set a budget for this project?

We work with businesses of all shapes and sizes, from sole-traders to multinationals, and pride ourselves on being able to offer something for everyone. If you have a budget in mind, it’s useful for us to know so we can manage expectations from the outset. It is, of course, up to you whether you want to disclose your budget at this stage.

06: Constraints

Are there any parameters we need to know about such as: deadlines; adhering to existing brand guidelines; working alongside other designers/creatives?
