Capturing the catwalk
Karen Millen approached us to take photo shots and video footage of Karen Millen’s Spring/ Summer collection and turn them into a tailored online brochure which complemented both the existing website design and seasonal clothing styles.
We had already developed Karen Millen’s first online brochure for the Autumn / Winter collection. As in the previous project we started from a selection of nine images but this time with several soundtracks and a few hours worth of video footage of catwalk shows in London and Amsterdam.
We developed an in-browser application to finely balance load times and visual impact. Vu creative department found the key to lie in an effective use of the transitions between shots and videos.
From receiving the raw material, through concept and development, to finished product we were working to a tight schedule of only 15 days. A massive feat and a massive result, even if we do say so ourselves!
