The Challenge
To build a website to help the client promote their niche consultation and project management service to a wider audience.
What was our role?
Who are Jarman Ward?
Jarman Ward work within the construction industry, providing building surveys, consultation and project management for commercial and residential clients. They specialise in the niche multi-academy trust market, helping with the funding and managing of school-based projects.
Jarman Ward are committed to providing a high quality, strategic approach to their clients’ projects while recognising their individual needs.
The company’s existing Squarespace website looked nice but wasn’t enabling them to connect with their niche clients. Vu Online helped them to develop a new WordPress based website based around their potential clients’ real concerns. We also facilitated the communication of their brand through the new site.
Building a Smarter Funnel
Jarman Ward found us through a trade show in which we used a giant ‘KerPlunk’ style model to demonstrate the various ways companies can block the flow of leads through their marketing funnels. The company realised that they needed to take action to get those leads flowing and enlisted Vu Online to help them with this.
The Solution
We showed Jarman Ward the keywords their potential clients were using and then helped them to build focused web pages around them. While creating their new website, we interpreted their brand guidelines using professional design principles.
Putting in New Foundations
Previously, Jarman Ward had used their Squarespace website to advertise their wares. This is a common approach used by companies not versed in marketing strategy. Although the website property looked great from the outside, it was built on shaky foundations.
Vu Online immediately started to educate Jarman Ward on the importance of underpinning the structure of their website with relevant keywords. These would be based on the solid substrate of evidence-based research (i.e. what their potential clients were actually looking for).
From this basis, we divided their services into discrete blocks, making it easy for would-be clients to navigate to the correct place. Once there, concise bullet points and a clear contact form would remove any blocks to conversion. We used our experience and skill to translate the company’s brand into a clean, high impact design, combining appearance and structure in a functional whole.
