For over 25 years, Earth Wrights have been building very inspiring play spaces that involve children in the natural world around them. Each project is a unique expression of the space, materials, and the imaginations of the children. What impressed us about these spaces is how natural they feel, not just in the sand, water, tree structures and landscape, but in the flow of one space to the next.
When they approached us about a new website, we recognised from the first that a strong new brand identity was needed – something that better communicated their core message of 'play'.

Mark constructed the logo in much the same way as Earth Wrights builds structures, using children's play as inspiration.
These silhouettes are carried throughout the brand collateral including print, the website, and vehicle wraps.
The website design further supports the brand identity through layering full-flood photography of the Earth Wrights' projects with the content placed on top. The photography acts as a dramatic and inspiring backdrop to support and showcase each project.

Earth Wrights' challenge on the web was showing off their incredibly inspiring play spaces. The brand identity needed to find a way to demonstrate 'play' in the very look and feel of the website. After taking a tour of one of Earth Wright's designs and watching the children doing what they do best, it was the flow of spaces that sparked the idea for how to showcase Earth Wrights's work, and how to communicate playfulness through the brand.

The impact of the new identity sparked comments by those familiar with the business, immediately remarking on how clear and meaningful the new look is.
The result of this exercise for Earth Wrights has been more than a new look and web design. Working with us through the creative process uncovered their true USPs, and has helped them clarify and sell through their services to new customers.
